II. Sufpecled Perfons not appearing before the King's Juftices, after Warning, to incur the Penalty of 27 Edw. 3. Stat. 1. cap. 1. pertaining to the Collation, Gift, Prefentation, or Dif- pofition of our laid Sovereign Lord the King, or of other Lay Patron of his faid Realm, and alfo all like Perfons, Qbtainers cf Churches, Chappels, Offices, or Benefices of holy Church, Penfions or Rents amortifed and appropriated to Churches cathedral or collegial, Abbies, Priories, Chanteries, Hofpitals, or other po. r Houfes, before that fuch Appropriations, Amortifements be void and adnulkd by due Procefs ; alfo all they which have obtained in the fame Court, Dignities, Offices, Hofpitals, and any Benefices of Churches which be occupied at this prefent Seafon by reafonable Title by any Perfons of the faid Realm, if fuch Impetrations be not fully executed, or fhall obtain hereafter like Benefices, whereby Prejudice, Damage, or Impeachment hath been or may be done hereafter to him or to his faid Subjects, in Perfons, Heritages, Poffeffions, Rights, or any Goods, or to the Laws, Ufages, Cuftoms, Franchifes, and Liber- ties of his faid Realm and of his Crown ; alfo all their Maintenours, Conce lers, Abettors, and other Aid- ers and Fautours wittingly, as well at the Suit of the King as of the Party, or other whatfoever he be of the Realm, finding Pledges and Surety to purfue againft them; in this Cafe all the faid Perfons de- famed and violently fufpetSt. of fuch Impetrations, Purfuits, or Grievances by Sufpeclion, fhall be ar- retted and taken by the Sheriffs of the Places and Ju- ftices in their Seffions, Deputies, Bailiffs, and other the King's Minifters, by good and fufficrent Main- prife, Replevin, Bail, or other Surety (the fhorteft that may be) and fhall be prefented to the King and his Council, there to remain and Hand to Right, to receive what the Law will give them ; and if they be attainted or convict of any of the faid Things, they fhall have the Pain comprifed in the Statute made in the Twenty fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord the King, which beginneth,' " Whereas late ' in the Parliament, &c."

TEM, if any Perfon defamed or fufpecl: of the faid Impetrations, Profecutions, or Grievances, or Enterprifes, be out of the Realm or within, and may not be attached or arrefted in their proper Per- fons, and do not prefent them before the King or his Council, within two Months next after that they be thereupon warned in their Places (if they have any) * in any of the King's Courts, or in the Coun- ties, or before the King's Juftices in their Seffions, or otherwife fufficiently, to anfwer to the King and to the Party, to ftand and be at the Law in this Cafe before the King and his Council, fhall be punifhed by the Form and Manner comprifed in the Statute made in the faid Seven and twentienth Year of this King's R.eign, which beginneth,' " Our Sovereign Lord ' the King of the Affent, &c." ' and otherwife, as to the King and his Council fhall feem to be done, without any Grace, Pardon or Remiffion to be made by the King, without the Will and Affent of the Party, which fhall prove him to be grieved, and with- out making to him due Satisfaction in this Cafe.'
