That the Lord Warden of th« forts. ^ • Cinque Ports, two antieht Towns, and their Members, and in his Abfence his Lieutenant or Lieutenants, fliall and may put in Execution within the faid Ports, Towns and Members, all the Powers and Autho- rities given and granted by this and the faid former Ad, and to execute and perform all and every tli£ Things therein contained, in the like Manner as the refpedive Lieutenants of the Counties and their De- puties may do, and may keep up and continue the ufual Numbers of Soldiers in the faid Ports, Towns and Members, unlefs they find Caufe to leffen the fame : (2) And that the Inhabitants of the faid Ports.
