' An Aft againft the Importation of Gunpowder, Arms, and other Ammunition, and Utenfil^ of War. < TT rHERE AS to the great Prejudice of this Kingdom, and the Difcouragement and Impoverifliment « W of the Gun-fmiths and other Artificers, great Quantities of Arms and Ammunition have of late ' Years been imported, to the endangering the Peace and Quiet of this Kingdom :' II. For Remedy whereof be it enadted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice None (hjM jm- ! and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, port Cun- and by the Authority of the fame. - Patents, Licence, or Grant, for the importing of Gunpowder, Arms, Ammunition, or other Utenfils of
- War, by way of Merchandize, to make Profit thereof, other than for the immediate furnifliing of the
