And be it further enabled by the Authority aforefaid. That all and every ComniifTion-officer and ^3" '"<' Se» Officers, and Non-commilfion or Warrant-officer and Officers, that are already imployed in their Majefties ^^1"1^°q i Service by Sea or Land, fhall take the faid Oaths, and alfo make, repeat, and fubfcribe ihc Declaration ,nj Dtcbri- mentioned in the faid Statute made in the thirtieth Year of the Reign of King Charles the Second, before tion. the Lord High Admiral of EngLnd, or the Commiffioners for executing the Office of Lord High Admiral, or their Deputies, or fuch oiher Perfons as their Majefties fliall authorize or appoint to adniinifter and accept the fame refpeftively ; and that all and every fuch Perfon and Perfons as fliall hereafter be put into any fuch Imployment by Sea or Land, (hall, before the Delivery of fuch Commiflion or Warrant to fuch Officer, take the faid Oatlis, and make, repeat, and fubfcribe the faid Declaration before the Lord High Admiral, or Commiffioners of the Admiralty, or their Deputies, as aforefaid, or fuch Perfon as fliall iffue fuch Commiffion or Warrant, or fuch others as fhall be authorized to adminifter the fame as aforefaid refpeflively, who are hereby refpeftively authorized and required to tender, adminifter, and accept the Penalty, fame; and all and every fuch Officer or Officers, that fhall refufe to take the faid Oaths, and make and fubfcribe the faid Declaration, fhall be incapable of receiving, taking, holding, or executing fuch Office or Imployment. That it is not lawful upon any Pretence whatfoever to take Arms againft the King ; ' X arid that I do abhor that Traiterous Pofition of taking Arms by his Authority againft, his Perfon, or ' againft thofe that are commiffioned by him ;' (hall not from henceforth be required or enjoined, nor any Perfon fuffer any Forfeiture, Penalty, or Lofs, by the not taking, fubfcribing, or making the faid Oath, or the faid recited Part of the faid Declaration; the laft fore-mentioned Statutes, or any other Law or Statute to the contrary in any wife notwithftanding. XII. And be it enafted. ' And I do declare. That no Foreign Prince, Perfon, Prelate, State, or Potentate, hath or ought' to have
- any Jurifdidtion, Power, Superiority, Pre-eminence or Authority, Ecclefiaftical or Spiritual, within this
' Realm; So help me God, &c,' XIIL And be it further ena£ted by the Authority aforefaid. That the Names of all and fmgular fuch N^es of P^r the fame, in Rolls made and kept only for that Intent and Purpofe, and t'or no other. The which Rolls, as for the Court of Chancery, fhall be publickly hung up in the Office of the Petty-bag; and the Rolls for the King's Bench, in the Crown Office of the faid Court ; and in fome publick Place in every Qiiarter- Sfiflious, .and there remain., during the whole Term, every Term, and during the whole Time of the faid to be viewed Seflions, in every Quarter-Seffions, for every one to refort to, and look upon without Fee or Reward, without Fes, And none of the Perfon or Perfons -aforefaid fhall give or pay, as any Fee or Reward to any Officer or Offi- cers belonging to any of the Courts, as aforefaid, above the Sum of twelve Pence for his or their Entry of Twelve Pence his or their taking of the faid Oaths by this A«a required or appointed to be taken. , ^^^^' XIV.
