That it fliould and might be lawful to and for any Perfon or Perfons, being intituled to any '■ Efbite for one Life, oi and in any Annuity purchafed or obtained upon former A£ts therein mentioned, ' or any of them, at any Time before the four and twentieth Day of Jul^, which fhould be in the Year ' of our Lord one tlioufand fix hundred ninety-five, to advance and pay into the Receipt of His Majefty's ' Exchequer fo much Money as every or any fuch Annuity, being computed for four Years and an half, ' fhould amount unto; and that every fuch Perfon, or fuch as he fhould nominate, upon fuch Payment ' made, fhould be intituled to the fame Annuity during the Term of ninety-fix Years, to be reckoned ' from the five and twentieth Day of January one thoufand fix hundred ninety-five, in fuch Manner and ' Form as in the faid Aft is mentioned : And ft v/as thereby further enafted. That if any Perfon or Perfons, ' being intituled to any Eftate for one Life in any fuch Annuity or Annuities, fliould not before the faid ' four and twentieth Day of July one thoufand fix hundred ninety-five, advance and pay into the Receipt ' of Exchequer fuch Rate or Confideration Money, as is before mentioned, that then and in every fuch ' Cafe, it fhould and might be lawful to and for any Perfon or Perfons whatfoever, at any Time and Times ' after the faid four and twentieth Day of July, and on or before the twelfth Day of November one thou- ' fand fix hundred ninety-five, to contribute, advance, and pay, into the faid Receipt of Exchequer, fb ' much Money, as any fuch Annuity, being computed for five Years, did or fhould amount unto; and that ' every fuch Perfon, on fuch Payment made, fliould have a good Eftate and Intereft in any fuch Annuity ' fo to be purchafed, during the faid Term of ninety-fix Years; fubjeft neverthelefs to the faid particular ' Eflate for Life in being : And that Tallies fnould be levied, and Orders drawn and figned, for the fame, 'in fuch Manner as by the faid A£l is prefcribed, as by the fame. Relation being thereunto had, more ' plainly and at large it doth and may appear: ' n. And whereas divers Perfons, in Purfuance of the ftid recited Aft, did, within the faid refpeftive Times thereby limited, contribute or pay into the faid Receipt of Exchequer feveral Sums of Money, amounting in the wliole to two hundred thirty-five thoufand nine hundred fifty-one Pounds and fix Pence, for purchafmg further or more certain Eftates in fome of the Annuities before mentioned : ' in. And whereas the Perfons v/ho are or may be intituled to fuch of the faid Annuities as do flill de- pend upon fingle Lives, and wherein further Eftates are not already purchafed by the faid former Aft, are or may be willing and defirous, or (in cafe of their or any of their Negleft or Refufal) other Perfons may yet be willing and defirous to purchafe and obtain a Term of Years, as aforefaid, in the Annuities laft mentioned, or fome of them, at the like Rates, or for fuch Confiderations, as were prefcribed by the Perfons intMed to Annuities for one Life on the Aa5 4& 5 W. & M. c.^. 5&6 W.&M. Be it enafted by the King's moft Excellent Majcfty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Comnjons, in this prefent Parliament afiimbled, and by the Au- thority of the fame. That it fliall and may be lawful to and for any Perfon or Perlbns, Natives or Foreign- ers,, being (ns original Contributors, or by Mefne Afiignments, or by other lawful Ways and Means) in- titleJ to any Eftate for one Life (viz. his own, or the Life of any other Perfon) of or in any Annuity purchafed or obtained upon the fcv.;ral Afts of Parliament mentioned in the Aft above recited, or any of them, or fuch as they fliall nominate, at the Rate of one hundred Pounds for every fourteen Pounds per Annum, at any Time before the four and twentieth Day of June, which fhall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand fix hundred ninety-fix, to advance and pay into the Receipt of His Majefty's Exchequer, fo much Money as every or any, fuch Annuity, being computed for four Years and an half, doth or fliall amount to (that is to fay) Every fuch Perfon fhall or may pay to His Majefty's Ufe, for every one hundred Pounds that was paid for the fingle Life, in any Annuity of fourteen YoxA& per Amium, the Sum of fixty- three Pounds more, for changing or converting the fame into a certain Term for the Refidue which fhall be then to come of the faid ninety fix Years, or for a further Intereft for the Refidue of the faid Term of ninety-fix Years, to take Effeft after the Eftate for Life, as aforefaid, and in the fame Proportion for higher or larger Annuities. V. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That if any Perfon or Perfons, being' intitled to any Eftate for one Life in being in any fuch prefent Annuity or Annuities, as aforefaid, or fuch as they fliali nominate, fhall not before the faid four and twentieth Day of June advance and pay into the Receipt of Exchequer fuch Rate or Confideration Money as is before mentioned, for changing fuch his, her, or their Eftate for Life, into a Term certain, or for a future Intereft, as aforefaid; that then and in every fuch Cafe it fhall and may be lawful to or for any Perfon or Perfons whatfoever, Natives or Foreigners, having or not having any Property or Intereft in fuch Eftate for Life, at any Time or Times after the faid four and twentieth Day of June, and on or before the nine and twentieth Day of September, in the Year of our Lord one thoufand fix hundred ninety-fix, to contribute, advance and pay into the faid Receipt of Ex- chequer, fo much Money as any fuch Annuity, being computed for five Years, doth or fhall amount to (that is to fay) For every hundred Pounds thar was paid for the fingle Life in an Annuity of fourteen JPounds a Year, there fhall be paid, in all the Cafes laft mentioned, the Sum of feventy Pounds for an Intereft for the then Refidue of the faid Term of ninety-fix Years, to be reckoned as aforefaid, and to be charged with and fubjeft to the prefent Eftate for Life, of and in the fame or the like Annuities; and there fhall be paid a Rate or Confideration in the fame Proportion for Annuities exceeding fourteen Pounds a Year :..And that all and eve y the Perfjn and Perfons, f^ paying the Confideration Monies as afoiefaid, <hall immediately upon Payment of their Monies be intitled by this Aft to fuch Annuity or Annuities fo to he purchafed, and the fame fhal! be chartjed upon fuch refpeftive Fund or Revenue
