- XXIV. And whereas in and by the faid Aft of Parliament made in the twelfth Year of the Reign of
' his late Majefty King William the Third, of glorious Memory, intituled, Jn ^ci for the further Li- ' mitation of the Croivn, and better fecuring the Rights and Liberties of the Subjeif; it was amongft other ' Things enacled, in the Words following. That from and after the Time that the further Limitation by ' this AiSt {hall take effeifi:, all Matters and Things relating to the well Government of this Kingdom,
- which are properly cognizable in the Privy Council by the Laws and Cuftoms of this Realm, Ihall be
' tranfadled there, and ail Refolutions taken thereupon, fhall be figned by fuch of the Privy Council, as ' fhall advife and confent to the fame;' Be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That the faid recited Claufcs repealed. Claufe fliall be, and the fame is hereby annulled and repealed, as if the fame Act had never been made. ' XXV. And whereas alfo in the faid A£. it was amongft other Things enafted in the Words follow- ' ing. That no Perfon who has an Office or Place of Profit under the King, or receives a Penfion from ' the Crown, fhall be capable of ferving as a Member of the Houfe of Commons ; and it appearing rea-
