That, from time to time, during the Continuance of this Aft, there fliall be appointed fuch and fo many Commiffioners and Officers as fliall be proper and neceffary for managing, raifing, col- lefting, and paying the faid Rates and Duties upon Hides and Skins, and Pieces of Hides and Skins, Vellum and Parchment, chargeable by this Aft, and for keeping and rendring the Accounts of the fame; and that the refpeftive Commiffioners and Officers concerned therein fliall perform their feveral Duties, in relation to the Premiffes, as to them refpeftively fhall appertain, under fuch and the like Penalties, Forfeitures and Difabilities, for any Offence or Negleft therein, or for detaining, diverting or mif- applying any Part of the Monies arifing by the faid R'ates and Duties, as are prefcribed, and to be in- flidted, by Virtue of an Aft of Parliament made and paffed in the ninth Year of the Reign of his late 5 W. 3. c. 44.
