Royal Exchange of London, "by Inch of Candle, to the lafl: and beft Bidder ; and all Ships, Veffels, or Boats that fhafl be fo feized and condemned, as aforefaid, fhall, together with all their Guns, Tackle, Furniture, and Apparel, be expofed to Sale in like Manner ; and that one fourth Part of the Produce of the Wool], Ships, Veflels, and Boats fo fold, as aforefaid, (hall be to the Commander, one other fourth Part to the OfEcers of the Ship or Ships, Sloop or Sloops that took the fame, one other fourth Part to the Mariners belonging to ftich Ship, Veflel, or Sloop, to be equally divided and paid amongft the faid Mariners, by the Colleftors of the faid Port, or fuch Perfon or rerfons as fliall be authorized to pay the fame, and the other fourth Part thereof to his Majefty, his Heirs and Succelfors, after a Dedudtion made out of the laft fourth Part of all the Charges of Profecution and Condemnation. XVIII. And for the preventing of all Compofition or Confederacy by any Commander of any Ship, Veflel, or- Sloop, with any Perfon whatfoever concerned in fuch Wooll or Ship, Veflel or Boat, as afore- faid ; be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That every Commander of fuch Ship or Sloop, neglecting his Duty by this Adt required, or compounding for any Wooll, Ship, Veflel, or Boat, as aforefaid, or conniving at the Exportation of any Wooll, ftiall lofe and forfeit all Pay and Wages due to him or them, and fufFer fix Months Imprifonment, and be for ever incapable of ferving his Majefi:y in any Office in the Navy. XIX. And for the more effedlual Encouragement of the Woollen Manufadture of this Kingdom ; be it further enadled by the Authority aforefaid. That from and after the firft Day of December in the Year of our Lord one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, no Wooll, Woollfells, Shortlings, Mortlings, Wooll- flocks, Worfted, Bay, or Woollen Yarn, Cloth, Serge, Bays, Kerfeys, Says, Frizes, Druggets, Cloth- Serges, Shalloons, or any other Drapery Stuffs or Woollen Manufadtures whatfoever, made or mixed with Wooll or Woollflocks, being of the Produdl or Manufadture of any of the Englijh Plantations in America, fliall be loaden or laid on board in any Ship or VeflTel, in any Place or Parts within any of the faid Englijh Plantations, upon any Pretence whatfoever ; as likewife that no fuch Wooll, Woollfells, Shortlings, Mortlings, Woollflocks, Worfted, Bay, or Woollen Yarn, Cloth, Serge, Bays, Kerfeys, Says, Frizes, Druggets, Cloth-Serges, Shalloons, or any other Drapery Stuffs, or Woollen Manufac- tures whatfoever, made up or mixt with Wooll or Woollflocks, being of the Produdt or Manufadlure of any of the Eiglijh Plantations in America, as aforefaid, fliall be loaden upon any Horfe, Cart, or other Carriage, to the Intent and Purpofe to be exported, tranfported, carried or conveyed out of the faid Englijh Plantations to any other of the faid Plantations, or to any other Place whatfoever ; upon the lame and like Pains, Penalties, and Forfeitures, to and upon all and every the Offender and Offenders herein, within all and every of the faid Englijh Plantations refpediively, as are prefcribed and provided by this Kdi for the like Offences committed within the Kingdom of Ireland; and all Governors or Commanders in Chief of the faid refpedlive Plantations, as alfo all Officers employed in the Cuftoms, or other Branches of his Majefty's Revenue there, are hereby authorized, charged, and required to take effedtual Care, that the true Intent and Meaning of this Adt, fo far forth as it relates to the faid refpedtive Plantations, be duly put in Execution. XX. And be it further enadted by the Authority aforefaid. That all and every Perfon and Perfons, who after the faid four and twentieth Day of "June fhall be guilty of any Offence or Offences, contrary to the true Intent and Meaning of this or any other Adt of Parliament made for the preventing the Ex- portation of Wooll, fliall and may be profecuted for any fuch Offence or Offences by Adtion, Suit, or In- formation in any-of his Majeflry's Courts of Record at Wejlminjler, and thereupon a Capias fhall and may iffuc the firfl: Procefs, fpecifying the Sum of the Penalty fued for ; and fuch Perfon or Perfons fhall be obliged to give good and fufficient Bail and Security, by natural born Subjedts or Denizens, to the Offi- cer ferving or executing fuch Procefs againft him or them, to appear in the Court out of which fuch Ca- pias fhall iffue, at the Day of the Return of fuch Writ, to anfwer fuch Suit or Profecution, and fhall Jikewife at the Time of fuch Appearance give fufficient Bail or Security by fuch Perfons as aforefaid, in the faid Court, to anfwer and pay the Forfeitures and Penalties incurred for fuch Offence or Offences, in cafe he, fhe, or they fhall be convidt thereof, or to yield his, her, or their Bodies to Prifon. XXI. Provided alfo, and it is hereby further enaS:ed, That after the nine and twentieth Dzy of Sep- tember in the Year of our Lord one thoufand fix hundred ninety-nine, the Lord Lieutenant, Lord De- puty, or Lords JufHces for the Time being for the Kingdom of Ireland, or any of them, are hereby re- quired to give Diredtion in Council, that this Adt fhall be given in cha.rge by the feveral Judges of the Kingdom of Ireland, at all the Affixes that fhall be held in th« Kingdom, to the end that this Adt may be ftridt^y put in Execution, according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof; which faid Judges are hereby impowered and required, from Time to Time, to take particular Accounts throughout their re- fpedlive Circuits, of the due Execution of this Adt, and at their Returns to Dublin, at the End of every Circuit, fhall acquaint the faid Lord Lieutenant, Lord Deputy, or Lords Juflices of that Kingdom for the Time being in Council, with all Accounts or Informations they fhall nave Co received of any Breach of the faid Adt, or Negligence or Faults in any of the Officers to whom the Execution of this Adt is committed, to the End that the faid Chief Governors, or any of them, for the Time being, may be the better informed and enabled to look to and provide for the flriS and pundtual Obfervation of this Adt, throughout that Kingdom ; of which the faid Chief Governors, or any of them, for the Time being, fhall once every Year lay a particular Accomit in Writing, under his or their Hands, before the King, his Heirs and Succeffors, in Council. la Geo, 2. ^, 2X, Z5 Gee, x, C 1.7. a5 Ceo. a, e, 14. iiCef.S., c, 8. & lU 29 Gn. 2. c 33. yiCeo, z, e, iZr' CAP.
