An Aft for laying additional Duties on Hides and Skins, Vellum and Parchment, and new- Duties on Starch, Coffee, Tea, Drugs, Gilt and Silver Wire, and Policies of Infurance, to fecnre a yearly Fund for Satisfaftion of Orders to the Contributors of a further Sum of one Million eight hundred thoufand Pounds towards her Majefty's Supply •, and for the better fecu- ring the Duties on Candles ; and for obviating Doubts concerning certain Payments in Scot- land; and for fuppreffing unlawful Lotteries, and other Devices of the fame Kind; and con- cerning Cake Sope ; and for Relief of Mary Ravenall., in relation to an Annuity of eigh- teen Pounds ^er Amum and concerning Prize Cocoa Nuts brought from America ; and cer- tain Tickets which were intended to be fubfcribed into the Stock of the South Sea Company ; and for appropriating the Monies granted in this Seffion of Parliament. Deer Skins. For and. upon all Deer Skins, which fhall be imported, or brought in, as aforefaid, being dreffed in Oil or Allom, or otherwife perfeftly drefled, the Sum of three Pence for every Pound Weight Jverdupois, and after that Rate for a greater or leffer Qiiantity. Lolhee, Buffalo, For and upon all Loftiee^ Buffalo, Elk, or any other H'des, drefied in Oil, which fhall be imported or &e. brought in, as aforefaid, the Sum of three Pence for every fuch Pound Weight, and after that Rate for a greater or lefler Quantity. Ruffia Hides, For and upon all Ruffia Hides, which fliall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid, the Sum of one Pen- ny for every fuch Pound Weight, and after that Rate for a greater or leffer Quantity^ Calve Skins. For and upon all other tanned Hides and tanned Galve Skins, which fliall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid (not before in this Aft fpecially chaj-ged) the Sum of two Pence for every Pound Weight, and af- ter that Rate for a greater or leffer Quantity. ■ • .Horfe Hides. For and upon all Hides of Horfes, Mares, and Geldings, which fliall be imported or brought in, as afore- faid, being drefl'ed in Allom and Salt, or Meal, or otherwife tawed, the Sum of one Shilling per Hide, and after that Rate for a greater or leffer Number or Quantity. HidesofSteers For and upon all Hides of Steers, Cows, or any other Hides of what Kind foever (thofe of Horfes, &c. Mares, and Geldings excepted) which fliall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid, being dreffed in Al- lom and Salt, or Meal, or otherwife tawed, the Sum of one Shilling and fix Pence for every Hide, and af- ter that Rate for a greater or leffer Number or Quantity. CalveSkins &c. For and upon all Calve Skins and Kips, which fhall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid, being ' dreffed in Allom and Salt, or Meal, or otherwife tawed, the Sum of one Penny Half Penny for every Pound Weight A-verdupois, and after that Rate for a greater or leffer Quantity. Slinks. For and upon all Slink Calve Skins, which fliall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid, dreffed in Al- lom and Salt, or otherwife, with the Hair on, the Sum of one Penny for every Pound Weight Averdiipois; and for all Slink Calve Skins which fliall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid, drefl'ed , in Allom and Dog Skins. Salt, or otherwife, without the Hair, and for all Dog Skins fo dreffed, which fliall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid, the Sum of one Half Penny for every fuch Pound Weight, and after thofe Rates for any greater or leffer Qviantities. Cordivants, For all Skins commonly called Cordivants, which fliall be imported or brought in, as aforefaid, the Sum of four Shillings for every Dozen,' and after that Rate for any greater or leffer Number or Quan- tity. , . . ©oatStim.
