LXXVII. And to the end all the faid Rates and Duties upon Skins and Hides, and Pieces of Skins and Hides, made Wares, Vellum, and Parchment, Starch, Coffee, Tea, Drugs, Gilt and Silver Wire, Po- licies of Affurance, and any other Duties before by this Aft granted, may be duly and certainly raifed, and the fame (except the neceflary Charges of executing this AftJ maybe juftly and duly brought into the faid Receipt of Exchequer, according to the true Meaning hereof, it is hereby enafted by the Authority afore- faid. That from time to, time, during the Continuance of this Aft, there fliall be appointed fuch and fo commiffioneia many Commiffioners and Officers as fhall be proper and neceffary for managing, raifing, collefting, and and Ofricers to paying the faid fev.eral Rates and Duties herein before granted, and for keeping and rendring the Accounts fce appoin-ed, of the fame; and that the refpeftiye Commiffioners and Officers concerned therein, fhall perform their fe- ^^'l,'!^'^'^'?^,^. veral Duties in relation to the Premiffes, as to them refpeftively fliall appertain, under fuch and the like '"^^"^'^ Penalties, Forfeitures, and Difabilities, for any Offence or Negleft therein, or for detaining, diverting, -S' ■'H- or mifapplying any Part of the Monies arifing by the fame Rates and Duties, as are prefcribed and to be infliftcd by virtue of an Aft pf Parliament made and pafled in the ninth Year of the Reign of his late Ma- jefty ICing William the Third, intituled, An ASt for raifing a Sum, not exceeding tzuo Millions, upon a Fund for Payment of Annuities after the Rate of eight Pounds per Centum per Annum, and for fettliiig the Trade to the Eaff Indies, for the like Offence or Negleft relating to the Duties thereby granted or referred unto, or for detaining, diverting, and mifapplying any Part of the Monies which were granted or appro- priated by the Aft laft-mentioned. ' LXXVIII. And whereas it is intended that the faid feveral Rates and Duties upon Hides and Skins, ' and Pieces of Hides and Skins, made Wares, Vellum, and Parchment, and upon Starch, Coffee, Tea, ' and Drugs, and upon Gilt and Silver Wire, and the faid Duties upon Policies of Affurance, and all fuch ' Sum and. Sums of Money as fhall arife or be brought into the Receipt of her Majefty's Exchequer, by, ' upon, or. for all and every or any the Rates and Duties granted by this Aft, fliall all together be made a ' Fund or Security for raifing any Sum not exceeding eighteen hundred thoufand Pounds, towards your ' Majefty's Supply, by fuch Methods, and in fuch Manner and Form as are herein after mentioned :' Now we your Majefty's moft dutiful and loyal Subjefts, the Commons of Great Britain in Parliament aflembled, for and towards the raifing the faid Sum of eighteen hundred thoufand Pounds, do further moft humbly be- feech your Majefty, that it may be enafted ; and be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, 'I hat yearly and 168003!. to he every Year, during the.
