That the faid Sum of two Millions, or fo much thereof as {hall be called 3 Geo. i. c 9. fo r ^ an( j ^ e actually advanced and paid by the faid Governor and Company of Merchants of Great Britain into the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer, in purfuance of that Act, fhall, by the faid CommiiTioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them,, or by the High Treafurer and Under Treafurer of the Ex- chequer for the Time being, without any further or other Warrant to be fued for, had or obtained in that Behalf, be iffued and applied for or towards the feveral Ufes and Purpofes herein after limited and appointed of or concerning the fame; that is to fay, for or towards the paying off and difcharging the principal Monies charged- or chargeable on the laid Lottery Funds, every or any of them, and the Intereft payable for the fanie, until the Payment of the faid Principal to the refpective Proprietors thereof, who {hall choofe to be paid in ready Money as aforefaid ; and for or towards the paying off and difcharging the faid Moiety of the faid principal Sums (upon Payment whereof the faid Sums, after the Rate of three Pounds per Centum per Annum, were formerly made redeemable as aforefaid) and all Arrears which mall or may be due for or upon the laid yearly Sums, after the Rate of three Pounds 'per Centum per Annum, computing the fame by the Day until the faid Moieties reflectively mall be.fo paid off unto the respective Proprietois thereof, who fhall alfo choofe to be paid in ready Money as aforefaid : or for or towards fome of the faid fame. to be actually advanced at the Exchequer, fhall have, receive and enjoy, and be entitled to have, re- ceive and enjoy fuch Annuity and Annuities, after the Rate of five Pounds per Centum per Annum, redeem- able by Parliament, -out of fuch Duties and Revenues, or by fuch other Ways and Means, and in fuch Manner and Form, as in and by the faid other Act o{ this Seffion of Parliament are fettled and prescribed for (ecu ring and paying the fame. 3 Ceo. 1, c. ' XVI. And whereas it cannot certainly be known at the making of this Act, how much Money will be • wanted to fatisfy fuch Proprietors. as fhall choofe to be paid in ready Money as aforefaid, or thofe claim- ' ing under them ; and it may be neceffary to raife Monies (over and above what fhall have been advanced "' by the faid Companies, or either of them, upon fuch Calls as aforefaid) to fatisfy and pay off" all the ' faid Proprietors, who fhall choofe to be paid in ready Money as aforefaid, or the Claimants under them ' respectively, whereby a fpeedy End may be put to the high Rates of Intereft and other Allowances where- ' unto they are at prefent entitled :' Now to the end the Service of the Publick, in relation to the Premiffes, Ifitbenectf- may in no Event whatfoever, be fruftrated, disappointed or prejudiced, It is hereby further enacted by the fary to raiff Mo- Authority aforefaid, That in cafe the Commiflioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them, or nies, above what the High Treafurer of Great Britain for the Time being, fhall find it neceffary to raife Monies (over and advanced by the aDOve what fhall have been advanced by the faid Companies, or either of them, upon fuch Calls as afore- -ompanies, faid) to pay off and difcharge all the faid Proprietors of the faid Lottery Orders, and of the faid Orders charged on the hereditary Excife, who at any Time or Times, on or before the faid twenty-ninth Day of September one thoufand feven hundred and feventeen, fhall appear to have made Subscriptions for ready Treafury may at Money as aforefaid, That then it fhall and may be lawful to and for the faid Commiflioners of the Trea- any Time before fury, or any three or more of them, or the High Treafurer of Great Britain for the Time being, at any vance
