Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Content of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Com- mons, in this prefent Parliament aflembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the Aft , r March z it - twenty-fifth Day of March on; thoufand feven hundred and twenty, no Perfon or Perfons mall or may i 7 i C . none Ouil carry at any one Load in the faid Cities of London and JVeJhninfler, or within ten Miles thereof, in Wag-car'y atoneUad K ons or Carts having their Wheels fhod or bound with Tire or Streaks of Iron, more than twelve Sacks °f.'^ n J> G ; Meal, each Sack containing five Bufhels and no more, nor more than twelve Quarters of Malt, nor more whoS . An Ac~t for laying a Duty of two Pennies Scots, or one fixth Part of a Penny Sterling, upon every Pint of Ale or Beer that fhall be vended or fold within the Town of M:ntrofe and Privileges thereof, for fupply- ing the faid Town with frefh Water, and for other Purpofes therein mentioned. P R. After June 24, 1720. for the Term of 25 Years, fefft a Duty of two Pennies Scots laid on every Scots Pint of Beer, csV. brewed, (3c. in the Town of Montrofe. The Truftees, with the Confent of the Overfeers, may farm out the Duty. [Continued by 7 Geo. 2. c. 5.] CAP. VIII. An Act. for laying a Duty of two Pennies Scots, or one fixth Part of a Penny Sterling, upon every Scots Pint of Beer or Ale vended or fold within the Town of Bruntifland and Liberties thereof, for increafing the publick Revenue of the faid Town, and for other Purpofes therein mentioned. P R, After June 24, 1720. for 25 Years, is'c. a Duty of two Pennies mail be paid for every Scots Pint of Ale and Beer, brewed, &c. in the Town of Bruntifland, payable by the Brewers, t5~c. Truftees may mortgage the Duty as a Security for Money, which fhall be applied only to the Purpofes in this Act. Truftees, with Confent of the Overfeers, may farm out the Duty. An A<5t for laying a Duty of two Pennies Sects, or one fixth Part of a Penny Sterling, upon every Scots Pint of Beer and Ale that mall be vended or fold within the Town of Pittenweem and Liberties thereof, for repairing the Harbour there, and for maintaining other publick Works of the faid Town. P R. After June 24, 1720. for 25 Years, &c. a Duty of two Pennies Scots fhall be laid on every Scots Pint of Ale and Beer brewed, &e. in the Town of Pittemveem.
