And be it enacted, That the faid Aids or Supplies provided as aforefaid, mail not be iffued or Noc be iffued to applied to any Ufe, Intent or Purpofe whatfoevcr, other than the Ufes and Purpofes before mentioned. any other the. Provided always, and it is hereby enacted by the Authority aforefaid, T hat the Commif- Treafury out of fioners of his Majefly's Treafury, or any three or more of them, or the High Treafurer for the Time this Supply to being, be and they are hereby authorized, out of any Monies of the Supply granted to his Majefty in this rewa.d theKr- Seflion of Parliament for publick Services, to reward the Perfons appointed to take, examine, Hate and °^Q eb °, ^, a lne certify the Debts due to the five Regiments above-mentioned, and to iffue fuch Debentures as aforefaid, five Regiments, I and their Clerks and Officers, as alfo the Officers and Clerks in the Receipt of the Exchequer, for their &c. refpe£tive Pains and Services in relation to the faid five Regiments, and fuch Charges as fhall neoii'a. ily attend the Performance of the fume, as to the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury or High Treafurer fhall feem reafonable ; any Thing' herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding. That no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of the fame, except fuch Perfons who did actual Service in fome Regiment, *J roop or Company. XXXf. That no Perfon having any other Place or Employment of Profit, Civil or Military, under his Majefty fhall have or receive any Part of the Half-pay. XXXlI. That no Chaplain of any Gan'ifon or Regiment, who has any Ecclefiaftical Benefice or other Preferment in Great Britain or Ireland, fhall have or receive any Part of the faid Half-pay. , XXXIII. XXXiV. That no Part of the fame fhall .be allowed to any Perfons by Virtue of any Warrant or Appointment,, except to fuch Perfons who would have been otherwife entitled to the fame, as re- duced Officers. XXXV. And that, no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any of the Officers of the five Regiments of Dragoons and eight Regiments of Foot lately difbanded in Ireland, except to fuch as were lately taken off the Lftablifhment of Half-pay in Great Britain. ' XXXVI. ' Marines, fubject neverthelefs to fuch Rules to be obferved in the Application of the faid Half-pay, as I * in and by the aforefaid Aft were prefcibed in that Behalf:' Now it is hereby provided, enacted and de- j clared by the Authority aforefaid, That fo much of the faid Sum of eighty-nine thoufand Pounds, as is or fhall be more than fufficieut to fatisfy the faid reduced Officers, according to the faid Rules by the II aforefaid Act prefcribed to be obferved in the Application thereof, or any Part of fuch Overplus, fhall or may be difpofed to fuch Officers who were maimed or loft their Limbs in the late Wars, or to fuch others, as by reafon of their long Service or otherwife, his Majefty fhall judge to be proper Objects of ! Charity, or to the Widows or Children of fuch Officers, according to fuch Warrant or Warrants under 1 is Majefly's Royal Sign Manual, as fnall be figned in that Behalf; any Thing in this or the faid former Act to the contrary notwithstanding.
