CAP. XXII. An Aft for enlarging the Times for hearing and determining Claims by the Truftees forraifing Money upon the Eftates of the late Directors of the South-Sea Company, and others; and for Relief of the Creditors of Robert Knight, Efquire, late Cathier of the faid Company, and for Relief of Perfons who have entred Claims for contingent Debts and Incumbrances; and for giving Time to Ralph Gulfton, and other Creditors of Edward Gibbon, Efquire, to enter Claims before the faid Truftees, for a Debt fpecified in the Inventory of the faid Ed- ward Gibbon ; and for impowering the Truftees to difmifs Claims for Want of Profecution ; and for applying the Produce of the faid Eftates for the Benefit of the South-Sea Company. I. TITHEREAS by an Act of Parliament made in the feventh Year of his Majefly's Reign, intituled, W An Ac! for raifing Money upon the Eftates of the late Sub-Governor, Deputy-Governor, Directors, Ca- Jhier, Deputy-Cajhier, and Accountant of the South-Sea Company, and a/" John Aiflabie, Efquire, and likeivife of James Craggs fen. Efquire, deceafed, toivards making good the great Lofs and Damage fuftained by the faid Company ; and for di fabling fuel) of the faid Perfons as are living to hold any Office or Place of Trufl under the Crown, or to jit or vote in Parliament for the future ; and for other Purpofes in the faid Ac! exprejfed ; It is amongft other Things enacted, That all and every the Caftles, Honours, Lordihips, Manors, MefTuages, Lands, Tenements, Rents, Reveriions, Services, Remainders, Poffeffions, Royalties, Franchises, Jurifdic- tions and Privileges whatfoever, and all Appurtenances to them, every or any of them belonging or ap- pertaining, and all Rights of Entry, Rights of Action, Titles, Conditions, Ufes, Trufts, Powers and Au- thorities, and all Leafes for Life, Lives or Years, Penfions, Annuities, Rent-Charges and Hereditaments whatfoever, and of what Nature or Kind foever they be, and all and every the Share and Shares in the Ca- pital Stock, or Stocks of any Corporation, Company or Society whatfoever, and all Monies due upon any Account or Accounts balanced or to be balanced, and all other Debts and Securities for Debts, and all ready Monies, Jewels, Plate, Goods, Merchandizes, Perfonal Effete and Effects whatfoever, and of what Nature or Kind foever, in Great Britain, Ireland, or elfewhere, which Sir John Fellowes, Baronet, (late Sub-Governor J Charles Joye, Efquire, (late Deputy-Governor) and William A/tell, Efquire, Sir Lambert BlacJiibell, Baronet, Sir John' Blunt, Baronet, Sir Robert Chaplin, Baronet, Sir William Chapman, Knight and Baronet, Robert Chefler, Efquire, Stephen Child, Efquire, Peter Delaporte, Efquire, Francis Eyles, Efquire, fames Edmondfon, Efquire, EdivordGibbon, Efquire, John Gore, Efquire, Sir William Hammond, Knight, Francis Hawes, Efquire, Richard Horfey, Efquire, Richard Houlditch, Efquire, Sir Theodore fan/Jen, Knight and Baronet, Sir Jacob Jacobfon, Knight, Arthur Ingram, Efquire, Sir John Lambert, Baronet, Sir Harcourt Adafter, Knght, William Morley, "Eiquire, Ambrofe Page, Efquire, Colonel Hugh Raymond, Sa- muel Read junior, Efquire, Thomas Reynolds, Efquire, Jacob Sawbridge, Efquire, William Tillard, Efquire, and John Turner, Efquire, (late Directors of the Corporation of the Governor and Company of Met chants of Great Britain trading to the South-Seas, and other Parts of America, and for encouraging the Fifhery) and alfo Robert Knight, late Treafurer or Calhier, Robert Surman, late Deputy-Cafhier, John Grigfby, late Accountant to the faid Corporation, and John Aiflabie, Efquire, every or any of them, upon the firftDay of June Anno Domini one thoufand feven hundred and twenty, or at any Time or Times afterwards, or which James Craggs the elder, deceafed, or any Perfon or Perfons in Trufl: for him at the Time of his Death, -was or were feifed or poffeffed of, or interefted in, or entitled unto, in Law or Equity in their or any of their own Rights, or to his or their own Ufe or Ufes, or in Partnership with any others (except as in the faid Act is excepted) were, by Force and Virtue of the faid Act, vefted and fettled in Sir John Eyles, Baronet, Sir Thomas Crofs, Baronet, John Rudge, Efquire, Matthew Lant, Efquire Roger Hudfon, Efquire, now Sir Roger Hudfon, Knight, Edmund Half ey, Efquire, John Lade, Efquire, Gabriel Roberts, Efquire, and Richard Hopkins, Efquire, now Sir Richard Hopkins, Knight, thereby nominated and ap- pointed Truftees for the Ufes and Purpofes in the faid Act expreffed of and concerning the fame, and the Heirs, Executors, Adratniftrators and Affigns of the fame Truftees, from the refpective Times in the faid At named, to the Intent the fame might be fold and difpofed of, or otherwife applied to and for the Ufes and Purpofes in the faid Act expreffed concerning the fame, and that the clear Monies arifing thereby fhould be appropriated to and for the Ufe of the South-Sea Company, in fuch Manner as therein is expreffed : And it is thereby further enacted, That the Entries of fuch Claims, as by the faid Act are directed, by or for an v ' Perfon
