' Jlers and Turbuts in Foreign Bottoms ; and for the better Prefervation of Salmon within Jeveral Rivers, in that ' Part of this Kingdo?n called Eng.nd) all Perfons whatfoever were reftrained under the Penalties, Forfeit- ' ures, and Punifhments therein mentioned, from taking, killing, deftroying, or wilfully hurting Salmon ' of any Kind or Size whatfoever, in the River Ribble in the County of Lancajier, and other Rivers therein
- particularly named, between the laft Day of July and the twelfth Day of November for ever ; which
- l^eftraint hath been found inconvenient as to the faid River Ribble, by reafon that the_ Time limited fof
' reflraining the taking Fifh therein, is not properly fuited or adapted to the Fifhihg Seafons there, fo as to , ' anfwer the Intention of the faid Aft, but it would be much more advantageous to the Salmon P'iflieries in ' that River, if Perfons were reftrained from taking, killing, deftroying, or wilfully hurting any Salmon ' in the faid R'wer Ribble, betwixt the fourteenth Day of September and the fecond Day of January yearly, and were at Liberty to take and kill the fame the Remainder of the Year ;' Be it therefore enafted by the-' Sept, yearly, v by any lawful Ways or Means whatfoever, any Salmon, Salmon Peal, or Salmon Kind, in their refpeftive j| Fiflieries and Places within the faid River TJ/i'Z'/d', and to fell any of the Fifh fo taken between the Times . aforefaid; any thing in the faid recited Aft, or any other Aft, to the contrary notwithftanding.' VIIL And be it ifurther enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That if any Perfon or Perfons whatfoevsr and be fubjeft to fuch and the fame Penalties, Forfeitures and Punifhments as were by the laid recited A<ft infiifted upon Perfons taking, killing, deftroying, or wilfully hurting Salmon in the faid River, b:tvixt the laft Day of July and twelfth Day of November, and fhall be proceeded againft and convifted thereof, ill the fame Manner, as by fuch recited Aft is for that Purpofe direfted. The faid Aft IX. Provided always, and it is hereby declared. That all and every the Claufes, Articles, Matters and continued.
