And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Coroner who is not appointed ed of Miide- j^y virtue of an annual Eleftion or Nomination, or whofe Office of Coroner is not annex^;d to any other Office""^!" be" O^ce, fhall from and after the faid tv/enty-fourth Day of June one thoufand fever, hundred and fifty-two, araoTCd." ^ loe lawfully convi6ied of Extortion, or wilful Negledt of his Duty, or Mifdemeanor in his Office, it (hall be lawful for the Court before whom he (hall be fo convicted, to adjudge that he fiiall be amoved from his Office ; and thereupon, if fuch Coroner fliall have been elected by the Freeholders^ of any County, a ^Vrit (hall iftue for the amoving him from his Office, and electing another Coroner in his ft'^ad, in fuch manner as Writs for the Amoval or Difcharge of Coroners, and for elc£ting Coroners in their fteal, are in any Cafes already directed by Law : And if the Coroner fo convifted fhall have been appointed by the Lord or Lords of any Liberty or Franchife, or in any other Manner than by the Ele£lion of thj Freeholders of any County, the Lord or Lords of fuch Liberty or Franchife, or the Perfon or Perfons intitled to the Nomina- tion or Appointment of any fuch Coroner, (hall, upon Notice. of fuch Judgment of Amoval, nominate and appoint another Perfon to be Coroner in his ftead. ' lowing the fecond Day of September, which fhall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred ' and fifty-two, (hall be reckoned and accounted to be the fourteenth Day of Scptinber, onitting for that ' Time only, the eleven intermediate nominal Days of the cominon Calendar, and that the Days inme- ' diately fucceeding fliall be called, reckoned and numbered forwards in numerical Order, from the faid ' fourteenth Day oi' September, and that all Meetings and AfTemblies of any Bodies Politick or Corporate,
- either for the £le£tion of any Officers or Members thereof, or for any fuch Officers entering upon the
' Execution of their refpeflive Offices, or for any other Purpofe which by Law^ Charter, Cuftom orL^fage, ' are to be holden on any fixed or certain Day of any Month, (liall from and after the faid fecond Day of ' Septejuber, be holden and kept upon or according to the fame refpeftive nominal Days and Times whereon ' the fame are then to be holden ; but which fliould be computed according to the New Method of num- ' bering and reckoning the Days of the Calendar as therein mentioned, as by the faid Act may more fully ' appear : And whereas by the Charters, Cuftoms or Ufage of fome Cities, Boroughs, Towns or other ' Communities, or Bodies Politick or Corporate, the Election of Officers, or the Eiitrance of Officers on
- the Execution of their Offices, or the doing of fome other corporate Acts, maybe fixed or required to be
' on fome certain nominal Day or Days of the faid Month of S ptember, falling between the fecond and
- fourteenth Days of the fame Month, which faid nominal Days are by the faid Aft required to be dropt or
' omitted for this prefent Year, fo that there will not in Fadl be any nominal Days between the faid fecond ' and fourteenth Days of the faid Month of September for this prefent Year, whereon fuch corporate Acts ' can be don; ; and Doubts have arifen whether fuch corporate Acts may be done at all without a fpecial ' Provifion for that Purpofe, by Authority of Parliament; and Liconvenijncies may poffibly enfue for ' want thereof;' Be it therefore enafted by the King's moft Excellent Majelty, by and with the Advice and Confcnt of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this preient Parliament afTembled, TheEleftion of and by the Authority of the fame.
