XXIL And it is hereby further enafted. That the faid Commiffioners fhall and may take for each Cer- Allowances to tificate from the Parties obtaining the fame, a Sum not exceeding the Rate of two Pounds per Ct'H^zw/, "^ ^°'"™';°" upon the Money contained therein, where the Sum {hall not be more than one hundred Pounds; and a^'^" |°'(^"'jii-j2^- Sum not exceeding one Pound per Centum, where the Money contained therein is above one hundred ca-es. Pounds, and not exceeding one thoufand Pounds ; and a Sum not exceeding ten Shillings ptr Ccritum, where the Money contained therein does exceed one thoufand Pounds ; v.hich refpeiStive Sums, and no 'more, the faid Commiffioners {hall and may demand and take, in full Recompence for all Trouble and Ex- pences which they, their Clerks, Agents or Servants, fhall be at in the Execution of the Powers thereby given them. ' XXIIL And whereas at a General Meeting of the Creditors of the faid Royal African Company, held ' the fourth Day of Aiarch which was in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and fony-feven, '" ' the following Creditors, to wit, Robert Myre of London Merchant, V/ilUam Mills of London Merchant,, ' and John Lcapidge of London Stationer, wiih others, were chofen and appointed by the faid Creditors to ' folicit a Satisfadtion, for the juft D^bts due and owing to all the Creditors of the faid Company : And ' whereas it is juft and reafonable that all the faid Creditors {hould contribute to the Charges and Expences ' of fuch Solicitation, and alfo to a proportionable Part of the Charges and Expences of obtaining and ' paffing the faid Aft of the lafl Seffion of Parliament, and this prefent Act;' Be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. Satisfaftion aforefaid, and in Repayment of all fuch Contributions as have been heretofore paid by the faid Creditors, or any of them, to them the faid Robert Myre, JVilliam Adilh, and John Leapidgc, or any of them, and alfo in Payment of a proportionable Part of the Charges and Expences of obtaining the faid Aft of Parliament pafTed the lafl Seffion, and of the Charg^es and Expences of paffing this prefent Aft, in fuch Manner as fhall be adjudged and direfted by the faid Commiffioners, or any two of them, in Writing under their refpeftive Hands; and no one of the faid Creditors fliall have, -or be intitled to have, a Cer- tificate of or for his or her faid Debt or Claim from the faid Commiffioners, or any of them, by virtue of this Aft, until he or fhe fhall produce to fuch Commiffioners a Note in Writing under the Hands of the faid Robert Myre, IVilliam Mtlh, and John Leapidge, or one of them, expreffing the Receipt of the faid Contribution ; and the faid Robert Myre, IVilliam Mills, and John Leapidge, fnall on or before the tenth. Day oi May which fhall be in the Year of our Lord one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-four, or within' three Calendar Months next after all the Contributions aforefaid fhall have been paid in as aforefaid, (if the- fame fhall be fooner paid) lay and fubmit an Account thereof, and of their Payments, and Difburfements, in Writing under their Hands, before the faid Coanniffioners for their Examination and Allowance ; and fliall difp >fs of the Ballance then remaining in their Hands (if any) in fuch Manner as the laid Creditors at a General Meeting to be fuinmoned for that Purpoie, by Advertifement in the London Gazette, or the major Part in Value of the Creditors prefent at fuch Meeting, fhall refolve, agree or direft.
