That the ' Colle(Stor and Colleftors, or any of them, appointed for the colledting and receiving of the faid Duties ' by the faid A£t of the fifth Year of the Reign of his faid late Majefty King George the f'irft, impofcd and ' made pa3'able at the faid Port of Bridlington, alias Burlington, were thereby impowered to go on board ' any Ship or Veffel within the faid ?oMoi Bridlington, alias Burlington ; and take Account of, and demand ' and receive the faid Duties, and for Nonpayment to diftrain for the fame in Manner therejn mentioned ; ' and that the Truftees appointed for putting in Execution the faid recited A£ts, or any five or more of ' them, are thereby impowered to appoint fuch Perfon as they fhall think fit, with fuch annual Salary out ' of the faid Duty as they fhall think fit, not exceeding ten Pounds a Year, for the better governing and ' managing the Port or Harbour of Bridlington, otherwife Burlington, in fuch Manner as in the faid Act is ' mentioned and dire£ted : And whereas, although the Money arifing from the Duties granted byviriueof ' the faid recited A£ts, and alfo other confiderable Sums of Money, raifed by a Tax upon the Lands within ' the Wixnor o{ Bridlington aforefard, have from Time to Time been laid out and applied in the repairing, ' rebuilding and enlarging the faid Piers oi Bridlington, alias Burlington aforefaid, yet the fame has not been ■* fufEcient to fupport, maintain and keep the fame in good Order and Repair; and by means of feveral ' violent Storms, the fame is become in a decaying and ruinous Condition, and in imminent Danger of ' being loft and deftroyed, and there is now a confiderable Debt due and ov/ing upon the Credit of the faid ' A£ts ; and as the Terms for which the faid Duties were granted by the former A£ts, will expire on the

' Piers can be efFe£tually repaired and maintained, unlefs the faid Duties be continued for a further Terra ' of Years by Authority of Parliament :' To the End therefore that the faid Piers, and the Port and Har- bour oi Bridlington aforefaid, which has been of great Service to Navigation, and of oreat Ufe and Benefit to the Publick, may be maintained, fupported and preferved: May it pleaie your Majefty that it may be enadted, i^e. HERE AS the permitting of Wool, and Woollen or Bay Yarn, to be exported osily from cer— '- tain Ports in Ireland to certain Ports in England, is not of fo great and exteniive Advantage to the 's, Trade of this Kingdom, as it would be if all the Pons in Great Britain z.n^Irela>id were opened tor that WooilenorBay ' P^'Tofe ;' Be it therefore enaded by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Yam, may be Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament aflembled, and exported irom . by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the fifth Day of Jiaie in the Year of our Lord one anyl'ort in Ire- th'oufand feven hundred and fifty-three, it {hall and may be lawful'for any Perfon or Perfons to export from p"nrfGre?t any Port m Ireland any Wool, or ¥oollen or Bay Yarn, Wool-Fells, Shortlings, Mortlings, Wool- Flocks and Wonted Yarn, to any Port m Great Britain; any AiSt or Ads of Parliament to the contrary notwiihftanding. n. That all fuch Exportations and Lnportations of Wool, and Woollen or Bay Yarn, Wool-Fells, Shortlings, Mortlings, ^X'ool-Flocki; and Worrted Yarn, from any Port in Ireland into any Port in Great Britain, fhall be made under the fame Re- ftricStions and Regulations, and in the fame Manner in all Refpeds, as Wool or Woollen Yarn is now by Unftions en- Law permitted to be exported from Dublin, IVaterford, Toughall, Kinfalc, Cork, Drcgheda, New Rof, aftcd.
