Parchment and Paper, which were granted by an A6t made in the twelfth Year of the Reign of her late 12 Ann. c 3. And it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That in cafe the faid Commiffioners of hiscLuife of Loan Majefty's Treafury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more.tor raifmg of the CommilTioners of the Treafury for the Time being, ihall think ic advifeable to raile the faid Sum-'-^^o.o^'J^-^as of one million four hundred and twenty thoufand Pounds, or any Part thereof, by Loans or Exchequer^ ° "*"' ^' Bills, in manner herein after-mentioned; that it fhall and may be lawful to and for any Perfon or Perfons, Natives or Foreigners, Bodies Politick or Corporate, to advance or lend to his Majefty, at the Receipt of his Majefty's Exchequer, any Sum or Sums of Money, not exceeding the faid Sum of one million four hundred and twenty thoufand Pounds, upon the Credit of the faid Surplufles, Excefles and Overplus Mo- nies, or other Revenues compoung the Sinking f und ; anl to have and receive for the Forbearance of the Money lent, Intereft after a Rate not exceeding three Pounds per Centum per Annum, fo as fuch Loans be allowed to be made by ihe faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, or any three or more of them nov/ being,. or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Commiffioners of the Treafury for the Time beings who are hereby authorized to iffue their Vs' arrants for that Purpofe as faft as fuch Loans {hall be wanted for the publick Service ; and moreover, that no Money to be lent upon the Security of this KSl, fhall be rated or aflefled to any Tax or Afteflinent whatever.
