aforefaid That all Mayors, Bailiffs, and other chief Magiftrates, who are appointed Commiffioners for executing this Aft, Ihatl be, and have Power to a6t as Commiffioners for executing this Aft, within and for any City, Borough, Town Corporate, or Cinque Port, wherein they inhabit at the Time of executing this Aft, as well where Commiffioners are fpecially appointed by this Aft, as where they are not. XXXIV. And it is hereby provided and enafted. That no Bailiff's Follower or Affiftant, employed Bailiff's Fol- or belonging to any Sheriff, Bailiff of Liberties, Marfhalfea Court, or any other Perfon or Perfons that lowers^not tx- fhall be lo mployed by any one that (hall have the Power of executing any Warrant or Procefs whatfo- ^"^P^ • ever fhall be deemed thereby to follow or exercife any Calling or Employment, or to have a fufficient Support or Maintenance v.ithin the Intent and Meaning of this Aft. ' XXXV. And forafmuch as great Inconveniencies may happen by impreffing A-Ien during the ' Time of Harveft ;' Be it therefore enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That from and after the Labourers, ha- lifteentli Day of M(7y one thoufa:id feven hundred and fifty-fix, until the fifteenth Day of O^ober cem^™'J^s following, all Harveft Labourers, and Perlons working at Hay Harveft and Corn Harveft Work not liable to be within the Time aforefaid, within the Kingdom oi Great Britain, fhall not be impreffed by virtue of impreffed in this Aft but ftiall be free and exempted from the fame durmg- the Time aforefaid, provided they have Harveft Time, a Certificate under the Hands of the Minifter, and of one Churchwarden or Overfeer of the Poor or Elders of the Parifh or Place where they live, allowed under the Hand and Seal of one Juftice of the Peace of the fame County, Shire, Stewartry, Riding, City or Place ; which Certificate Ihall be given prdtis. XXXVI. And for the more eafy and better puttmg this Aft in Execution; be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That any three or more Commiffioners for putting this Aft in Execution in Commiffioners the fever'al Ridings of the County of Tork (being Juftices of the Peace) though not all of the crf-ie Jf York fame Riding, may, within the Caftle of York, or Limits thereof, execute the Powers of this Aft. ' XXXVII. And whereas divers Soldiers who have deferred his Majefty's Service, have been harbour- ' ed in a certain Place called Threapwood, lying y/'nhm or near the Counties of Chejier and Fli?it, or one ' of them, and adjoining to the Town of Cuddi-ngton in the faid County of Cl;ejler;' Be it farther enafted bv the Authority aforefaid. That the Commiffioners hereby appointed' for the County of Chejier, and CommifTioners the Officers of the faid Town of CwMington, Ihall execute this Aft in the faid Place called Th'reapivood, for executing according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof. Vhreapwood. XXXVIII. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid.
