' TT THERE A S divers of his Majefly's Ships or Veflels are at prefent, and may hereafter be occa- ' W fionally employed in and upon certain Lakes, great Waters, or Rivers, in North America, not ' within the Body or any County atflually fettled by the King's Subjefts, and under the regular Goveru- ' ment of his Laws and Courts, although the fame may be within his Majefly's Dominions :' Now in order to obviate any Doubts which may arife touching the good Regulation and Government of all fuch Officers, Seamen and others, as do, or for the Time being, (hall ferve on Board of any of his Majefty's faid Ships or Vefiels fo employed as aforefaid; Be it enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament aflembled, and by the Authority of the fame. That a certain A(5t of Parliament made in zz Geo. i. c, ^j* the twenty-fecond Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty (intituled. XXVIIL An Aft for reviving and continuing an Aft for the Relief of Debtors, with Refpeft to the Imprifonment of their Perfons ; and for continuing an Aft made in the laft SefTion of Parliament, to continue feveral Laws relating to the Diflemper now raging among the horned Cattle in this Kingdom. ' TT/ HE RE AS feveral Laws herein after-mentioned have by Experience been found ufeful and ' W beneficial, and are expired, or near expiring;' May it therefore pleafe your Majefly, that it may be enacfed; and be it enaded by the King's moll Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Con- tent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament aiTembled, and by the Authority of the fame. (intituled, An J^ for the Relief of Debtors, with rcfpcff to the hnprifomncnt of their Perfons) which was Xneda.id^" to continue in Force for the Term of five Years, and from thence to the End of the then next Seflion of amended b/ the Parliament ; and was explained and amended by an Acfl made in the third Year of the Reign of his pre- feveral fubfe- fent Majeliy ; and which by another A6t made in the eighth Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, ^ Geo 1 c'. 27. was further explained and amended, and continued until the tvvxnty-fifth Day of March one thoufand 8 Geo. ;. c. 24. feven hundred and forty, and from thence to the End of the then next Selfion of Parliament; and which i^ceo.a. c. 34, by another A6t made in the fourteenth Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, with the feveral Articles and Claufes therein contained (except the Claufe in the laid laft-mentioned Act for fetting mutual Debts one againft the other, which by the faid Act is made perpetual) was furthei* continued, from the Expiration thereof, until the firft Day of "June one thoufand feven hundred and forty-feven, and from thence to the End of the then next Seflioh of Parhament; and which by another AcS made in the twenty-firft Year of the Reign of his prefent Majefty, intituled, An Act to continue and -amend, feveral-'^ '^'=°- ^- >^-3:- Laivsfor the Relief of Debtors, zvith refpect to the Irnprifomnent of their Perjons ; and to reHify a Mijiake in an AB pafed in the laft Se(fion of Parliament, for continuing feveral Laws therein mentioned j and to continue tzvo Act si, the one pajfed iii the 7'iinetecnth Tear, the other in the twentieth Tear of his prefent A'lajeflfs Reign, to prevent the fpreading of the Diftemper among ll the horned Cattle ; was (fo far as relates to the Relief of .
