be made by the faid Mayor, Aldermen and Commons, in Common Council aflembied, and removeable at their Will and Pleafure ; and the Expence of buying and erefting of fuch Lamps er Lights, and alfo the to be defrayed yearly Charges of fupplying, maintaining and repairing the fame, and the Charges and Expences of watch- out if the Bridge ing the faid Bridge^ fhall be borne and paid out of the Effate and Revenues belonging to the faid Bridge. And for the preventing wilful and malicious damaging or deftroying the faid Bridge, or any Part °' ^S' thereof, or hindering or interrupting the repairing thereof, or the widening and enlarging the PafTage over and through the fame; Be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Perfon or Perfons fliall un- Deftroying, 1=:;^ lawfully, wilfully and malicioufly blow up, pull down or deftroy the faid Bridge, or any Part thereof, or '•«! Edifices and Buildings, that fhall be taken down by virtue of this Aft, fhall be, and the fame are down, vefted in hereby vefted in the Mayor and Commonalty, and Citizens of the faid City of London; and the faid May- the City, and to or. Aldermen and Commons, in Common Council aflembled, are hereby required with all convenient j^yjlj^^':^^'^,^^ Speed, after any fuch Houfes or Buildings fliall be taken down, to caufe fuch Timber, Stones, Bricks, Tiles, Slates, Planks, Iron, Lead, Glafs or other .Materials, to be removed from off the Premifles, and to ufe and employ fuch thereof as they fhall fee fitting towards widening, enlarging and rendering more com.modious the Paflage over the faid Bridge, and under the fame, and what thereof fhall afterv/srds re- main, fhall either be employed towards Reparation of the other Efl:ates belonging to the faid Bridge-houle, or elfe fhall be fold and difpofed of for as much Money as can be had or. gotten for the fame, as they fliall from Time to Time deem befi: ; and the Money arifing by and from the Sale of fuch Part thereof as fhall be fold, fliall go and be applied to and for the Purpofes of this Aft.
