- There's the trumpet! I must fly!

The Prince. [Detaining her.]
- I don't even know your name!
- Don't go yet—I'll take the blame!
Snow White.
- Oh, I can't, nor tell you why!
- Please! I beg you! Let me fly!
- [And she runs off, surrounded by the Maids of Honour who have been terribly frightened lest the Queen should spy her.
The Prince. [Gazing after her.]
- Do you think to steal my heart,
- Little thief, and so depart?
- Nay, I'll follow, fast and true,
- Till I find my heart and you!
