Fig. 50.—The shore line of the old Permian continent followed the northern limit of the Dwyka conglomerate. The glaciers came down from the north and the hills of Griquatown and Kheis beds bounded the valleys then as they do now. Beautiful glaciated pavements are to be seen on Jackal's Water and Boshjesman's Berg.
