Adding together the value of the metals obtained from the mines of the United Kingdom, 17,657,767/., the value of coal, 26,856,882/., and that of other minerals, not smelted, including stilt, barytes &c, 1,935,042/., the total produce of the United Kingdom in the year 1869 amounted to 46,449,691/.
