Crime and Pauperism.
In Wiirttemberg there is one Oberlandesgericlit at Stuttgart (see German Empire, p. 540). In 1896, 15,627 persons were convicted of crimes, i.e. 104.6 per 10,000 of the population over 12 years of age. In 1892 the number of convictions was 14,526. In 1892-93, 37,318 persons received public poor relief amounting to 3,544,563 marks.
