The staple article of British liome produce exported to Java is manufactured cotton ; including cotton yarns, of tlie value of 1,376,851?. ; machinery, 70,430Z. ; iron, wrought and unwrought, 76,208Z. ; coals, 40,033?. ; woollens, 33,477?. ; manure, 60,173?., in the year 1897.
