- Leading refiners state that little or no sugar is manufactured from domestic mo-
lasses ; also that in refining there is only about 2 per cent waste of original weight. Messrs. Willett k. Gray, New York, state that of the sugar consumed iu 1897 only about 187,920 tons were unrefined.
