My Guests

One is a man of feeling,
A deplorer of the world’s evils,
Who lives only on adjectives.

The other is a man of all kinds of plans,
A draughtsman with
No experience in house building.

In this busy mid-December
To keep company with you both is impossible.
I must excuse myself and do my own work.

Please, you two guests,
Make yourselves at home.
