No. ED/AI-10/72-1385—27th June 1972—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 10 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1898 (Act V of 1898), the Government is pleased to appoint Mr Madun Mohan Das, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pabna, to be Additional District Magistrate in the same district and to direct that he shall have all the powers of a District Magistrate under the said Code and under all other laws for the time being in force in that district.

No. ED/AI-468/72-1389—27th June 1972—Mr Khalilur Rahman (II), now employed as Assistant Director, Bureau of Anti-Corruption, is appointed to officiate on an ad hoc basis, until further orders, as Deputy Director, Prime Minister's Vigilance and Inspection Bureau.

No. ED/AI-332/72-1393—28th June 1972—Mr Jamiruddin Ahmed, formerly Additional Commissioner, Chittagong Division, was appointed to hold current charge of the duties of the Commissioner, Chittagong Division, in addition to his own duties, for the period from the 7th December 1971 to the llth March 1972.

No. ED/AI-482/72-1397—28th June 1972—Mr Nurul Islam Shams, Director of Industries, is appointed to officiate on an ad hoc basis, until further orders, as Director General of the Department of Industries with effect from the date he assumed charge of the office.

No. ED/AI-6/72-1406—28th June 1972—Mr Md. Abdul Momen, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, is appointed to officiate on an ad hoc basis until further orders, as Deputy Secretary in the Establishment Division.

2. This cancels the orders contained in this Division notification No. ED/AI-6/72-1349, dated the 19th June 1972, appointing him as Deputy Director, Local Government and Rural Development, Dacca Division.

No. ED/AII-262/72-362—28th June 1972—In Supersession of the orders contained in this Division notification No. GAIV/83/72-54, dated the 8th February 1972, Mr Abul Fazle Shamsur Rahman, formerly District and Sessions Judge, Dacca, has been appointed to act, until further orders, as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs with effect from the 11th February 1972.

No. SI/IS-48/72-312—28th June 1972—The following persons are promoted to officiate as Section Officers to the Government of Bangladesh, until further orders, on ad hoc basis, and are posted to the Ministries noted against their names subject to the conditions stated in para 2:

(1) Mr A. K. M. Alamul Huda, Cypher Assistant of the former Government of Pakistan now attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs—Ministry of Industries (Industries Division).

(2) Mr M. A. Quader, Assistant, former Government of Pakistan now attached to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting—Ministry of Power, Natural Resources and Scientific and Technological Research (Natural Resources Division).

2. (i) Their appointments are purely temporary and liable to termination at any time on account of absorption of the officers to be repatriated from Pakistan or for any other reason.

(ii) Their appointments will also be liable to termination on appointment of candidates approved by the Public Service Commission. Bangladesh, against promotee and direct recruit quotas. They will, however, be eligible to compete for regular appointment as Section Officer through Public Service Commission against promotee quota.

3. The interse seniority of the above promotees vis-a-vis other promotees will he determined later on.
