He d. unat 18 Dee. 1732 at Colzean, when the Baronetcy [S.] a: 10S2 became extinct, but the peerage devolved as under. XI. 1792. 11. CASTILE AND LEON. 1372, Oct. 6, By writ of this date, John (Plantagenet, styled "ok Gaunt,") Duke ok Lancaster, &c, was sum. to Pari, as "KING OF CASTILE AND LEON, Duke of Lancaster," being so sum. also by succeeding writs issued by Edward III. and Richard II. down to 3 Sep. 33S5 (9 Rie. II.) but never subsequently under that denomination. Shortly after the resignation of this Royal title he was, on 2 March 1389/90, cr. in Pari. DUKE OF AQUITAINE for life, and on 23 July 1392 was sum. to Pari, as "Duke cf Aquitaiue and Lan- caster."
