Princess of "Wales and mother of King Richard II.), <la. of Edmund (Pla.ntage.net), Eaul of Kbst (yr. s. of King Edward t), was b. about 1355 ; KG., 136J, and was cr., 2 June 1387, EAliL OF HUNTINGDON with rein, to the heirs male of his body, by Elizabeth, his wife, this lady being da of John (PtASTAGBBET, stilled "ok Gai'.nt"), Duke of Lancaster, son of King Edward III. lie was cr., 20 Sep. 1397, DUKE OF EXETEK, from which Dukedom he was degraded 6 Oct. 1399. He was beheaded 15 Jan. 1399/1-100. and having been attainted (as Earl of Huntingdon) alt hit honours were forfeited. He was cr., 0 Jan. 1143, DUKE OF EXETEK. He (/. 5 Aug. 1447. XV. 1447, 3. Henry (Holaxd), Duke of Exeter, and to Earl ok Huntingdon, only s. and h, 4. 1430 ; a zealous 14 G 1 . Lancastrian and, as such, attainted 1 Nov. 1461, when all his honours were forfeited. He d. s.p. 1473. XVI. 1471, Thomas (Gket), Loud Ferrers de Groby, b. 1451, to was cr. (by his step father, King Edward IV.), 11 Aug. 1471, 1470. Haul ok Hi'NTINgdu.n, which title he shortly afterwards resigned to the King and was (as " Lord Thomas Grei/ ") made KB. XVII. 1471>, William (Herbebt), Eakl of Pembroke, b. 5 Match to 1461 ; sur. his father in that dignity (cr. S Sep. 146S), on 27 July 148 1 • 1469, and was, after having resigned the same to the Crown, cr. (in exchange) 4 July 1479,(") EAKL OF HUNTINGDON with rem. to the heirs of the body of his father. Geurge (Hastings), Loud Hastings de Hastings [1161], and Loud Hastings da HujfQKRFOBD [1482], s. and h. of Edward, Lonn Hastings de Hastings and Lord Hastings de HUSGBRFOBD, by Mary, s uo jure Baroness Botreaux [1368], Baroness HunqkrfOrd [1426], and Barohrss de MOLBYKS [1445], was b. 1488 ; K B., 17 Nov. 1501 ; site, to his father's peerage, 4 Nov. 1506. and was sum. to Pari, by writs directed "Georgia Httltyngt* de UaMywjes " from 17 Oct. (1509), 1 Hen. VUL, to 3 Nov. (1529), 21 Hen. All the privileges, precedence, &c, belonging to the Earldom of Pembroke being annexed to the new dignity it was confirmed by Ins'pcximus 17 May 1488, but the Habendum was altered to the heirs male of William, the father.
