BARON BKlX't: OF KINLOSS [S.], with rein, to his heirs male whatsoever,!)') while, on 3 May 160$, lie had (ivitltuiit am/ resignation) a grant of Kinloss, as a temporal Barony under the title of LORD BRUCE OF KINLOSS [S.], with rem. to the heirs male of his body, whom failing, to his heirs and assigns. He d. s.p.m.s. 10 Feb. 1746/7, when, excepting as to this last creation, (which see) his English honours became extinct. The Earldom of Elgin, and the Barony ok Bruce ok Kinloss [S.] devolved on the heir male gen. See "Elgin," Earldom of [S.], cr. 1633. The BARONY OF KINLOSS " 1602, as well as, perhaps, the right to the Barony of Bruce of Kinloss 1608 (see under that dignity), devolved as under. j jg lis.
