( b ) The selection of " Coptic Doninyton " as part of his title of peerage seems some- what of a presumption, inasmuch as his only connection therewith (the said estate being the inheritance of the family of Hastings) was that his wife was one of the daughter! of the then owner whose sou and heir soon afterwards inherited the samo and transmitted it to his issue.
