Charles Thomas Talbot, by Julia, da. of Sir Henry Joseph Tich- boiine, 8th Bart, which Charles Thomas (who d. 30 April 1S38, aged 55), was only surv. s. of Francis Talbot, of Witham Place, co. Essex (who d. 26 Nov. 1813, aged S6), yst. br. of George, the 14th Earl. He was 6. 11 Dec. 1832, at Tichbornc Park, Hants, and was privately educated. He sue. to the peerage, 9 Nov. 1852 was (») "Charles, sou of Charles Henry Talbot, Esq., and Ann ; Bedford Row," was !">p 5 Dec. 1751, at St. Andrew's, Holborn ; matric. at Oxford (Univ. Coll.), 18 April 1769. This entry, however, appeal's to relate to another person. _(") "Was of a very retired temper and much addicted to music and to mechanics .. his remains lay in State at the Bavarian Ambassador's chapel iu Warwick street and on the 18th the funeral obsequies were there celebrated iu a style of extraordinary pomp and splendour." This is, however, hardly borne out hy the rather good-looking portrait of him "after O. Oakley" engraved in "Doyle."
