George Stanley, styled Lord Stanley, s. ami h. ap. of Thomas, 1st Earl of Derby, was sum. to Pari, jure uxoris by writs, 15 Nov. 1482, to 10 Jan. 1496/7, directed "Georgia Stanley de la Strange." He d. v.p. 1497. See "SthaNUS DE K.SOCKTS," Barony, cr. 1299, sub the 9th holder thereof ; in abeyance since 1594. STANMER. See " Pelham of Stanmer, co. Sussex," Barony (Pel ham-Holies, formerly Pelham), cr. 1762, with a spec. rem. She wag present, both, at the coronation and the jubilee of Queen Victoria ; having been alive at the jubilee of George III,, and presented both to George IV., and to the widow of the " Young Pretender."
