He m. firstly 11 Feb. 1S68, at Allahabad, iu the N.W. provinces of India, Ellen, 2d da. of Cudbert Bensley Thohnhill, a member of the Sudder Board (») The estate of Machanie and the Castle of Strathallan, near Auchtorader, co. Perth, had been repurchased by the family since the forfeiture of 1740.
