He was sue. by his son, who is outside the scope of this work. Family estates. — These, besides some small property (under 100 acres in each county) in Hants, Herts, Oxon, and co. Cambridge, consisted, in 1883, of about 15,000 acres in Dorset, and about 2,500 in Devon. Total about 17,500 acres, of the yearly value of about ^^24,000. The extremely valuable estate at Hoxton, Midx., derived by descent from the family of Pitfield, is not included. Principal Residence. — Crichel, near Wimborne, Dorset.
