Alexander (Livingston), Earl of Callendar, (sfc. [S.], nephew by the br., and h. according to the designation in the patent of 1660, being 2nd s. of George, 3rd Earl of Linlithgow [S.], by Elizabeth, da. of Patrick (Maule), Earl of Panmure [S.]. He, on 16 May 1688, after a prolonged lawsuit, was served h. of entail to his uncle. He m.
