He was a Whig in politics. He m., about Dec. 1776, Susanna, widow of William Cracraft, Alderman of London, da. of Henry Drax, of EUerton Abbey, co. York. He d. s.p., 22, and was bur. 30 Apr. 1777, in Salisbury Cath., aged about 52, when the Irish Peerages became extinct but the English Barony by writ descended to the heir general. Will pr. 1777.
