C") Mold (of which Montalt is a latinized form) is the name of a hill in Flintshire, from which, also, the family of Montalt, Lords of Hawarden Castle (one of wliom is said to have been one of the Barons of Hugh Lupus, Earl of Chester in 1070), derived their name.
