carried it to the tailor to make him a bag for his new bible; and that same evening he came to the lady to beg her to teach him to read it. So that day he began; and he was several days over the first chapter of Genesis; but the next chapter was easier, and the next easier still; till, very soon, he was able to read any part of the bible without hesitation.
