OUR Soveraine Lord , with advifeofhis three Eftaites of this prefent Parliament, hes ratified and ap- preved, andbethetenourheirof, ratifies and appreves the aft of Parliament under-written, maid in the Parliament halden at Striviling, upon the xxviij. day of Auguft, thezeirofGod, anethoufand, five hundreth, threefcoir and elleven zeiris , and ail poynts , claufes and artickles conteined therein, after the forme and tenour theirof , of the quhilk , the tenour foliowes. FOR remeid there- of , it is concluded , ftatute and ordained , be our Soveraine Lord , and the three Eftaites of Parlia- ment , that quhafaever obteines , or hes obteined , the firft confirmation of ony infeftment , outher of Kirk-lands, or uther landes, halden of our Soveraine Lord: that the firft confirmation fall be of availl, force and effect, and fall prevail the fecund. The faid firft infeftment, quhilk is confirmed, being vailzeeableiis the felfe , and lauchfully do.ie. And in this caie , the lalt confirmation fall not be refoe&ed , .albeit the famin confirme the firft infeftment, bot the firft confirmation ofthelafteinfeftmentfallprevaile, the laft confirmation of the firft infeftment, be way of exception Or reply , without ony SummondsorProcefle of reduction. It is alwayes provided , that gif the principal infeftment firft confirmed , or ony uther fubftantial caufe, be the foirfaid confirmation , be of nane avail or unlauchfuilie maid, to the prejudice of ony uther pairtie , Jiavand interefie to the landes therein conteined , and quha may be excluded be reafon of the firft confirmation , the faid partie havand interes , fall be heard to accufe or reduce the faid in' feftment firft confirmed, or utherwayes, to move action, againft the famin, as accordes of the Law, uuhidder they have obteined confirmation of their infeftment, or not. It is alfwa ftatute and ordained, that nadowble confirmations ofinfeftments of Kirk-landes, or uthers, halden of our Soveraine Lord, be granted heirafter, and difcharges the keipers of the Signet, Privie and great Seilles , that tbey paffe not double confirmations : And gif the faidis double confirmations paffe in time cumming, our faide Soveraine Lord, with advife of his faidis three Eftaites, decernis and declaris, the laft connrmation to be of nane availl: Providing, as is above fpecified.
