ITEM, OUR SOVERAINE LORD, With advife and confent of his three Eftaites , ratifies and appreevis, the Acleoi Parliament, maid at Edinburgh, in the zeir of God, ane thoufand, five hun- dred}, three-fcore nineteenc zeires : For reliefeofthe labourers of the ground, troubled fonvantoftimous teinding of their Cornes. And ordainis the fame to be obferved , and" to be put to execution in all poyntes, after the forme and tenour thereof , with this addition: That it M be fufficient to all labourers and awners of the Cornes, in time cumming , to require teinding of the parne, having die title , tack, orrichttothe faidis teind-fcheeves , openlie in the Paroche Kirk , upon twa feverall Sabboth-dayes, before noone, after the fcheeringofthefaidis Cornes ; Providing that there be xiiij. dayes interjected fullie , betuixt the daie of die firft requifition, and before it fall be lauchfull to the awners of the faidis Cornes, to teind the fame, and lead the ftocke therefra , in maner conteined in the faid former Act. 49. Anent the making of the prices oflVines and Tymmer. T IS Statute and ordained be OUR SOVERAINE LORD, with advife of his three Eftaites of _ this prefent Parliament , that nane bearand charge or office within Burgh, beand Merchant , hame-bringer, or portioner of Wines and Tymmer, fall be fetters of prices on the fame, during the time of their Office, and their-upon they fall be fubject to fuffer ane affife of their neightboures , within fifteene dayes nixt after die expyring of their office , before the Proveft and Baillies of the Burgh , to be newlie chofen , havand the KingesCommiffionerfittand in Judgement with them to that effect, without quhome it fall not be lefum to procecde :
