Or any tvventie of them , mall by vertue of this prefent Aft , have full Power , Com- miffion, Libertie and Authoritie , to aflembie and convene themfclves , after the ending of this prefent Sef- fion of this Parliament; and before the next Seffion thereof, atfiktyme , andinfikplaceasitihallpleafehis Majeftie to appoint with certaine felefted Commiffioners , nominat and authorized by the Parliament of [England, according; to the tennour of their Commiffion in that behalfe, to confer, treat, and confult upoti ane perSte Union of the Realmes of Scotland and England, and concerning fik other matters, caufes and things whatfomever , tending .to his Majefties honour and contentment , and to the weall and tranquillitie of baith the Kingdomes , during his Majefties lyfe (whilk the ever-living God lang continew) and during his Royall Pofteritie in bleffed tranquillitie to the warlds end. As upon mature deliberation , the greateft part of the faids Commiffioners , aflembled , as is forefaid, with the Commiffioners authorized by the Parliament piEngland, fhall in their wiidomes think mai ft expedient and neceffar; not derogating any wyfe to any funda- mental! Lawes , auncient Priviledges , Offices , Rights , Dignities and Liberties of this Kingdome , as is before faid : And that the Commiffioners of baidi the faids Realmes, according to the tennour of their Com- miffion in diat behalfe , fet downe their proceedings in three feverall vvryttings , every ane of them to be ful> tcryved and fealed by them; to the end that ane of them may be in all humilitie prefented to his Majeftie; the lecond to be prefented to the confideration of the next Seffion of Parliament , for the Realme of Scotland; and the thrid to be offered to the confideration of the next Seffion of Parliament, for the Realme oiEngland.
