Anent Annexation of His Majefaes Tropertie. | f UR SOVERAIGNE LORD, With advice and confeut of the Eftates of this prefent Parlia : I V_y ment, ratifies and approves the whole ads of annexation of whatfoever Lands, Lordlhips', and Bar- ' roniesannext to the Crown by his Majefties urnwhile Father, or any other his Majefties Predeceflbrs. And farther, his Majeftie and Eftates forefaids , and without derogation of the former annexations , of new annexes the fame to the Crown; to remaine there-with for ever according to the conditions and p'rovifions contained in the former Ads of annexation of Lands to the Crown; and fpecialiy of the Act of annexari- on made in.the dayes of King James the fecond , in the Moneth of Auguft , 145-5-. A T T O U R , His Majeftie with confent forefaid , declares the right and title of Superioritie , Of all and fundrie , Lands , Baronies , Milnes , Woods , Fifhings , Towers , Fortalices , Manour-places , and whole pertinents thereof, pertaining to whatfoever Abbacies, Pryories, Pryorefles, Preceptories and whatfoever other Benefices of whatfoever Ellate, Degree, Title, Name, or Defignation the fame 'be of ereded in Temporal- Lordfhips, Baronies, or livings, before or after the general Ad: of annexation of" Kirk-lands, made in the Moneth of July, 15-87. yeares: together with the whole Few-m ails, Few-fermes and other rents and duties of the faids fuperiorities To be annexed , and to remaine with the Crown for ever • Referving to fuch Lords and Titulars of Erections, and each one of them, who havefubfcribed the general' furrender , the Few-mails , and Few-fermes of their faids fuperiorities , aye and while they receave payment andfatistadionofthefummeof a thoufandmark.es, ufual money of Scotland, for each chaldcr of Few- ferme vidual over-head , and for each hundreth markes of Few- mails, and for each hundreth markes worth of all other conftant rent of the faids fuperiorities, not confuting in vidual or money, and not being nakedfervice of VafTals , according to the tenor of his Majefties general determination , and according to the conditions therein expreft : And referving to them and to all other Titulars of Eredion , their propertie and proper lands to beholden of his Majeftie and his Succeflbrs , in Few-ferme for payment of the Fevv-ferme duties, and other duties contained in the old infeftments made to them, their Predeceflbrs, and authors before the faid Ad of annexation. Like-as his Majeftie and Eflates forefaid, findes and declares that all titulars of eredion without exception , mall hold their propertie and proper lands of his Majeftie and his Succeflbrs, inFew-ferme, for payment of the Few-ferme duties contained in the infeftments granted to them and their forefaids, before the faid Ad of annexation, and no otherwife. And his Majeftie and E- ftates declares all rights and deeds whatfoever , made and granted to whatfoever perfon or pcrfons proceeding the date hereof, which may prejudge his Majeftie and his Succeflbrs , in the peaceable brooking , enjoying and poflefiing of the faids fuperiorities and Few- ferme duties above-fpecified (excepting and referving as faid is) To be null and of none availe, force nor effect by way of adion, exception, or reply. OR SO MUCH, As albeit the Lands , Lordfhips, Baronies, and others of old, are lately annext to the Crown , were and are , for great and weighty conftderations , tending to the weale of the Crown ind whole Realme , Ordained to remaine with O UR SOVERAIGNE LORD, and his Succeflbrs for ever. And not to be difponed nor annalied in fee nor life-rent , to whatfoever perfon or perfons, without Idviceofthe three Eftates of Parliament, and for profitable and feene caufes, tending to the weale of the krhole Realme : Yet nevertheleffe , it hath been ever thought expedient in the dayes of OUR SOVE- RAIGNE LORDS moft glorious Predeceffbrs : And no wayes derogatorie to the conditions of the Paid annexations but aggreeable thereto , as tending to the publique weale of the Crown and Kingdome ; that the annext and proper lands fhould be fet in Few-ferme for increafe of policie and augmentation of the rental : Xxx 3 And
