They appropriate also[1] "Look unto me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is none else, I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow," &c. Every one, says the Moolah, in the work before alluded to[2], knows "that to serve God by bowing the knee has taken place at no time, and in no religion but that of Mohammed:" an assertion this which it is quite unnecessary to disprove. "I will turn to the people a pure language[3]:" the word Safa, which signifies lip or language, they regard as a mere proper name or title of Mohammed.
