He m. 1st — Amie, dau. of James Hamilton, of Pencaitland; 2ndly — Anne. dau. of Charles Potts, of Derbyshire ; Srdly— Aug. 1751, Elizabeth Clark, widow of Dr. James Callander, of Jamaica; she d. April, 1759; and 4thly — May, 1770, widow of Mr. Andrew ilillar, of London, bookseller ; she d. Oct. 1788. By his 2nd wife he had with an only dau. JIarv. an only son, SIR ARCHIBALD, 3rd Baronet, raised a company of 100 men ami served in E.I.C.s.at S. Davids ; b. 6 Feb. 1731: d. 30 Sept. 1796, having m. 1st— 27 May, 1755, Mary, only child of Dr. James Callander, of Jamaica, aforesaid; she d. 15 Feb. 1787. He re-m. 8 Aug. 1794, Jessie, dau. of McLeod, of Colbecks ; she d. s. p. By his 1st marriage he had 2 sons and a dau. [1] Sir Archibald, s. as 4th Baronet.
