To indicate to vehicular traffic that part of the carriageway should be kept clear of stationary vehicles
Permitted Variant:
The legend "school" may be omitted and the minimum length reduced when the marking is used to indicate the part of the carriageway outside a hospital, ambulance station or fire station which should be kept clear of stationary vehicles.
