Gentlemen and the moſt diſtinguiſhed Persſonages of the country. The ſcene of their convival feſtivity, was the former habitation of a grand Nabbob of this place, conſtructed on an ancient plan, and containing a number of ſpacious apartments; but from the change it received from the hand of recent improvement, it had more the appearance of a modern European manſion, than an uncouth pile of building, that reared its gothic head in remoter time.
